RAS00412XX Application Field and Working Principle
RAS00412XX is a type of diode rectifiers known as single diodes. A diode rectifier is an electronic component that converts alternating current (AC) electrical power into direct current (DC) electrical power. The single type is comprised of two electrodes, the anode and the cathode. It has a simple p-n junction configuration, an insulated gate and two connections terminals. When an electric current passes through the single diode, the p side of the diode will allow the current to pass through and the n side will reject it, thus creating the rectified DC voltage.

However, single diodes require more levels of synchronization for the AC supply thus, for an AC voltage of the same frequency, smaller changes in the amplitude of AC supply cause larger changes in the output voltage.
