RCLAMP5031T.TNT

TVS diodes are devices designed to protect surface mount electronic circuits against electrical surges. The RCLAMP5031T.TNT is a unidirectional ESD/TVS diode with low leakage current, low capacitance and ultra-fast response time. With its low capacitance, it is suitable for high-speed digital interface protection. It also offers a wide operating temperature range of -55°C to 125°C.

Application Field

The RCLAMP5031T.TNT is designed for use in I/O line protection circuits. It is widely used in consumer electronics & industrial equipment, including USB 2.0 ports, RS-232 or RS-485 interfaces, and 485/422 interfaces. In addition, it can be used to protect various digital cameras, portable media players and GPS components from ESD and EFT.

Working Principle

The RCLAMP5031T.TNT is a unidirectional ESD/TVS diode. It consists of a diode and a avalanche breakdown protection element. When an electrical surge passes through the diode, the avalanche breakdown element will be triggered, providing protection for the circuit while minimizing the transfer of the overvoltage to the circuits. When the surge is over, the diode will reset itself.

The RCLAMP5031T.TNT provides excellent transient protection performance with its fast response time and low clamping factor. It can absorb a large amount of energy without any damage to the device, giving it a much longer life than standard ESD protection diodes. In addition, the device also has a very low capacitance of less than 5pF, allowing it to be used in high-speed digital applications.
