The RF3417E is a SAW filter designed to operate in the 300 MHz to 3000MHz frequency range with excellent selectivity performance across the full frequency range.

The RF3417E is a quad-band SAW filter designed to allow for the transmission and reception of radio frequency signals. The filter utilizes a highly selective SAW technology to limit the amount of noise and interference in the RF signal path. It can be used to filter out RF interference from sources such as wireless signal networks (Wi-Fi, GSM, HSPA, etc.), cellular telephone systems, FM and AM broadcasts, and geostationary satellite communications systems. The RF3417E utilizes a multilayered SAW construction consisting of multiple layers of piezoelectric substrates sandwiched between a matching layer and a shielding layer. The SAW substrate is fabricated using a process called interdigiti-zation, which enables the creation of a multitude of frequency responses in the RF signal path. The interdigitation process creates very tight harmonic and band-stop responses that allow for superior selectivity performance. The SAW filter also utilizes two independent amplitude-vectors for each harmonic, ensuring maximum dynamic range and excellent harmonic distortion performance over a wide range of frequencies.

The RF3417E also includes a built-in temperature compensation circuit which stabilizes its selectivity over the rated temperature range. The device is constructed from high-reliability, thick-film components and is hermetically sealed to protect it from environmental contamination. The RF3417E also features excellent shielding characteristics, with an insertion loss of less than 0.5 dB over the rated frequency range.

The RF3417E is an ideal choice for a variety of applications such as cellular phone base stations, wireless signal network design, satellite applications, military communication systems, land mobile radio systems, and other high performance applications requiring high selectivity and low loss. The RF3417E provides a cost efficient solution for reducing RF interference in high traffic systems, and is available in a wide variety of package sizes and configurations.
