The ROB-11498 Evaluation Board by On Semiconductor is a high-performance easy to use development platform with support for digital signal processing (DSP) and microcontroller unit (MCU) applications. The board comes with comprehensive software stack and libraries for both processors and is suitable for a wide range of embedded applications including motor control, power electronics, industrial automation, etc.
The ROB-11498 Evaluation Board is based on a 32-bit ColdFire and an ARM Cortex-M3, each with comprehensive software support and embedded low-power technology. It features a variety of onboard resources for applications such as USB, Ethernet, CAN, PWM, Quadrature Encoders and general purpose I/O. The board also includes an integrated Debug System and Bootloader for simplified software development.
The ROB-11498 Evaluation Board can be used to evaluate and program On Semiconductor’s range of DSP, MCU, and microcontrollers. It comes with comprehensive software support and libraries for both DSP and MCU, making it suitable for a wide range of embedded applications. The board includes a range of peripherals and pins for interfacing with external devices such as sensors, displays and motors.
The ROB-11498 Evaluation Board includes two on-board debuggers, a USB-based FET Debugger and a Serial Flash Programmer. The FET Debugger provides code-level access, allowing users to debug their program’s performance and behavior in real time. The Serial Flash Programmer is used to program known flash memory, such as Flash memory on the board.

The board includes a range of onboard resources for user-defined I/O including two USB ports for external peripherals, four UARTs for connection with external devices, three SPI ports, and four CAN ports for communication with CAN-based devices. It also includes a range of ports for communication with external sensors such as temperature, voltage, and humidity.
The board features an integrated development environment (IDE) which allows users to quickly create, compile, and debug programs. It also includes an integrated development kit (IDEK) for low-level programming and debugging. In addition, the board can be used with the CodeWarrior Development Studio, IAR Embedded Workbench, RV-C Compilers, and Eclipse to develop user-defined programs.
