Transient Voltage Surge Suppressors (TVSS), also known as surge protectors, are used to help minimize the amount of damaging lightning and store related energy surges that enter devices and wiring systems. TVSSs are devices designed to suppress overvoltages and limit their effect to the wiring and on the equipment.
