Rr264mm-400tr Application Field and Working Principle

Diodes - Rectifiers - Single is an electronic device composed of two terminals and four layers, in which the anode is connected to the p-type material and the cathode is connected to the n-type material. It is widely used in rectifiers, converters, modulation circuit and power electronics circuits. The RR264MM-400TR is a 400 V Single Diode rectifier which is widely used in the market.

When a forward bias is applied to the rectifier, the holes from p-type material are filled with the free electrons from the n-type material, forming the depletion layer and allowing current to flow. A voltage drop is generally seen between the anode and the cathode when current flow through the diode, acting as a rectifier.

When a reverse bias is applied to the rectifier, the holes in the n-type material will be filled with the free electrons in the p-type material, forming the depletion layer, which prevents the current from passing through the diode. The phenomenon is called reverse blocking. RR264MM-400TR provides a fast turn-off switching capability due to its high reverse voltage and enables fast current circulation upon forward bias.
