The RS2JA R3G family of Diodes is a type of Single-Diode Rectifier, which is made for use inside regulated AC-to-DC power systems. It is designed to regulate and suppress surges, resulting an ultra-low forward voltage drop, minimal power loss, and reliable surge performance to better handle extreme AC input from today\'s AC-to-DC power supplies.

The RS2JA R3G diode family is designed for AC-to-DC power systems. It is intended for applications such as ATX power supplies, power adapters, and power supply equipment. It provides ultra-low forward voltage drop and high efficiency while offering improved transient response and thermal performance. These diodes are made of state-of-the-art Silicon Carbide Schottky barriers and utilizes angled-slope technology to minimize its forward voltage drop and minimize reverse leakage current. It has a VF of 1.3V to 1.7V and an Ir of 1A to 5A, depending on the model.

The RS2JA R3G family of diodes utilizes the concept of Reverse Recovery Time (RRT) or the amount of time it takes for the diode to reverse its current direction during normal operation. It is designed to have a very short RRT to minimize surge current and power loss. Normal diodes tend to have a higher forward voltage drop when switching than the RS2JA R3G which can result in increased ripple current and increased power loss.
