RSX501LAM20TR application field and working principle
The RSX501LAM20TR is a single rectifier diode in a TO-92 package from the RSX series. This series is specially designed for 5KW automotive applications and provides a fast-switching operation as well as a high surge current capability. As such, it is ideal for automotive and industrial rectification applications.
The diode is of a standard p-n junction structure, with a depletion zone that acts as an insulator. The anode and cathode are the two contacts, and when an external voltage is applied, an electric field is established between them. This field creates the flow of electric current in the diode, allowing it to pass through and allowing it to be used for rectification. As the external voltage is applied, the current starts to flow through the diode, and the current is then passed on to the load.
