Working Principle

The RT9011-CQGQW is a low dropout (LDO) linear regulator. It uses a voltage divider-based feedback circuit to measure the output voltage and compares it to a reference. When the output voltage drops due to a load increase, the error amplifier increases the current flow through the pass transistor resulting in an increase in the output voltage. Similarly, when the output voltage rises due to a decrease in load, the error amplifier reduces the current flow through the pass transistor resulting in a decrease in the output voltage. The regulator maintains a constant output voltage by constantly adjusting the current flow through the pass transistor. The output voltage can be adjusted by varying the voltage divider ratio.

The RT9011-CQGQW has several features to protect the circuit from overload and short circuit conditions. The device has an under-voltage lockout (UVLO) circuit to ensure that the LDO will not operate when the input voltage is too low.
