The S2020 is a single phase rectifier diode module. It is used in rectification and voltage conversion applications such as switching power supplies, battery chargers and pulse width modulation. The S2020 is unique in that it utilizes a patented, hard-switching topology, as opposed to a soft-switching topology that is used by most other rectifiers. During the “off” portion of the cycle, the reverse bias voltage across the diode prevents current from flowing from the positive to the negative sense terminals.
