The S2020 is a single phase rectifier diode module. It is used in rectification and voltage conversion applications such as switching power supplies, battery chargers and pulse width modulation. The S2020 is unique in that it utilizes a patented, hard-switching topology, as opposed to a soft-switching topology that is used by most other rectifiers. This allows for superior high-frequency switching performance, lower static losses, and smaller footprint.

The S2020 is designed to be used in a single phase bridge rectifier circuit, which is made up of four individual rectifier diodes. These diodes are connected in a bridge configuration, with two of the diodes connected in series on each side of the bridge. When the AC input voltage is applied, the diodes conduct in alternation. During the “on” portion of the cycle, the forward bias voltage across the diode allows current to flow from the positive to the negative sense terminals. During the “off” portion of the cycle, the reverse bias voltage across the diode prevents current from flowing from the positive to the negative sense terminals.

The S2020 rectifier module is designed for use in a variety of applications including motor drive systems, solar panel inverters, LED lighting, electric vehicles, and other power electronics applications. Its unique hard-switching topology offers superior performance compared to traditional soft-switching rectifiers and makes it an ideal choice for a wide range of applications.
