The S2560 is a single-phase, general-purpose rectifier diode designed for use in power supply applications. It is highly reliable, efficient, and able to withstand a wide range of temperatures. The S2560 is capable of withstanding surge currents up to 400A. In addition, it is RoHS compliant.

The S2560\'s application field includes: power supplies, UPSs, DC-DC, and AC-DC converters, surge and load testing, as well as automotive, industrial, and marine applications. Its robust design makes it suitable for use in both on-shore and off-shore platforms.

The S2560 is manufactured with state-of-the-art technologies to provide superior performance. The diode is built with a highly reliable and efficient diode dielectric made from gallium nitride (GaN). It consists of two electrodes, an anode and a cathode, that are connected internally and externally. When current is applied to the anode and cathode, it will flow in a single direction, thereby rectifying the voltage.

The S2560 also uses an advanced trench structure to increase the current level capacity and improves its heat dissipation performance. The device\'s power dissipation performance is further enhanced by its negative temperature coefficient (NTC) behavior. By doing so, the temperature at which the diode begins to breakdown can be avoided.

The S2560\'s working principle is based on a rectification process which utilizes an alternating current and converts it into a direct current. When a voltage is applied across the anode and cathode of the S2560, the electrons on the anode move in the direction of the electric field and cross the depletion region to the cathode where they recombine with the holes, thus creating a direct current.

The S2560 is designed to operate over a wide temperature range between -40°C and 125°C, making it suitable for use in a number of different applications. Additionally, it has excellent surge current ratings and offers a long life expectancy.
