S300GR

The S300GR is a glass passivated single-phase bridge rectifier designed for use in general-purpose rectification applications, such as power supplies, battery chargers and inverters. It has a very wide operating voltage range of 3A to 1300V AC and a forward average current rating of up to 16A.

The S300GR device is Silicon Controlled Rectifier (SCR) based rectifier, and comprises of two, three or four SCRs connected back-to-back in a bridge configuration. The SCRs operate in alternation, either supplying or blocking current as ripples in the AC power source vary. During that time, the voltage across the SCR varies from 0 volts under no load conditions to the full peak value of the AC power source. The diodes, which also form part of the rectifier, provide a low forward voltage drop and are responsible for rectifying the AC waveform to generate a DC voltage.

The S300GR rectifier is manufactured in a compact surface mount package, which offers a wide range of mounting options and is suitable for use in surface mount and wave soldering assemblies. The S300GR is designed to be used in temperature areas and offers a temperature range of -40°C to +105°C.
