S3MHR7G rectifier has an operating voltage range between 75 V to 1000 V. It is capable of withstanding a high peak inverse voltage of 2.25 - 4.8V. The maximum operating temperature range for S3MHR7G is -55°C to +175°C. When the AC voltage is positive, the p-type diode is forward biased, and the n-type diode is reverse biased. This causes the current to flow in a single direction and hence the AC is rectified into DC. When the AC voltage is negative, the opposite occurs; the n-type diode is forward biased, and the p-type diode is reverse biased. This prevents the AC current from flowing, thus rectifying it into DC.
