S8822BT is a high-performance 8-channel line-switching integrated circuit (IC) designed and manufactured by ROHM Semiconductor Co., Ltd. Application Field
The application fields of S8822BT are mainly in ethernet switch, USB hub controller, CCD camera, etc.- The S8822BT Ethernet switch is especially suitable for 10BASE-T and 100BASE-TX. It can support multiple ports such as 4 port, 8 port, 16 port, and 24 port. It adopts full 8-port line switching design, integrated impedance matching circuit, DDK software startup support, and has low power consumption, low latency, and high performance characteristics.
- The S8822BT USB hub controller can support up to 16USB 2.0 ports and provide 10x speed and 2x speed selection, and it supports USB over-current protection and power control circuit. By using USB interface, it can provide up to 2M/S burst speed.
- The S8822BT CCD camera is of great importance in the field of surveillance camera, which works together with a control unit and a display unit. It can provide clear imaging at a very low noise output. This is made possible by its full-frame synchronization (FAMS) and progressive scan capture functions, thus can be used in applications requiring precise video signal output.
Working Principle
S8822BT uses TDM (time-division multiplexing) switching technology.
