SA12A A0G is an unidirectional Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) diode designed to protect against electrical overstress (EOS) such as electrostatic discharge (ESD) and electrical fast transients (EFT). This family of semiconductor devices, also known as Transil diodes, combines the characteristics of Zener diodes with the extra immunization against ESD and EFT offered by TVS diodes.
