Working Principle

The SBL4R015J uses a Through Hole Resistor design to provide stable performance with minimum tolerance requirements. These resistors are electrostatic monoliths, produced with a scheme of very thin resistive layers which are used to finely control the resistor\'s resistance value. These layers are die-cuted in order to obtain the desired value. As a result of this design, the resistor can provide very high accuracy and stability.

In order to reduce circuitboard or component damage and provide stability against temperature changes, a special design feature of the resistor is that it has a low thermal coefficient. This allows the resistor to remain within +/-1.0% tolerance even with large temperature changes. Also, due to the low thermal coefficient, the resistor does not require a heatsink in order to maintain its accuracy.

The Through Hole resistor is also designed with a high-power capacity, allowing it to withstand high overload currents, and providing high pulse stability and robustness. This makes the SBL4R015J an ideal component for use in a variety of high-precision, high-power applications.
