Motion Sensors - Accelerometers
Accelerometers are used to measure acceleration and vibration in a variety of applications. In general, modern accelerometers measure linear acceleration, with gravitation as an inertial reference. They are often used for measuring vehicle acceleration, and as part of inertial navigation systems.
SCA630-EDCV1B-1 is a three-axis digital accelerometer for motion sensing applications. It is designed to accurately measure an acceleration range from ±2g up to ±62.5g. This accelerometer is a low-power, low-cost feature-rich and high-performance device, offering unique features such as signal output in either analog or digital formats and embedded temperature sensors.
The SCA630-EDCV1B-1 uses MEMS technology (micro-electro-mechanical systems) to measure linear acceleration. It is based on a multi-axis sensing element and an integrated microprocessor.
