Working Principle

The working principle of SDM10M45SD-7-F is based on a Schottky diode. A Schottky diode is a solid-state electronic component that conducts current with minimal electrical losses due to its low forward voltage drop. When used as a rectifier, it regulates the voltage polarity and allows a current to flow in one direction only. When used in an array, multiple Schottky diodes can be used to increase the current capacity of the circuit.

The SDM10M45SD-7-F diode array is composed of 4 diodes encapsulated in a single DO-220AC package which allows for a significantly reduced footprint in order to provide better space efficiency compared to discrete diodes. This diode also features a high junction temperature (175°C) and a low reverse leakage current.
