Working Principle of SE2614BT-EK1 Evaluation Kit

SE2614BT-EK1 evaluation kit is based on the ANT and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) wireless protocols. The communication between BLE and ANT is enabled using the STM32L4 Series Microcontroller as the bridge between them. The evaluation kit features two radio transceivers - one for the BLE and another for the ANT. The ANT transceiver supports up to 8 channels at data rates of 62.5 kbps and allows users to connect two-way ANT devices. The BLE transceiver supports up to 4 nodes at data rates of 1 Mbps and allows users to connect devices via Bluetooth.

The SE2614BT-EK1 evaluation kit includes a host board (HIT-EK1) and two baseboards (BT-EK1 and ANT-EK1). The host board contains the STM32L4 Series MCU and is connected to the two baseboards. The baseboards contain the BLE and ANT transceivers and provide the interface for external sensors, actuators, and other BLE and ANT devices. The evaluation kit also includes a USB-to-UART bridge, lithium-polymer battery, connector for external power and lithium-ion battery pack. The connector for external power allows users to connect an external power source for better performance.

The HIT-EK1 host board features four peripheral modules including a 17 pin comb connector for external sensors, an SD card slot, an LCD display interface, and a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) module. The BLE module provides the interface for connecting up to four BLE nodes. The LCD display interface provides a graphical interface for setting and controlling parameters of the evaluation kit. The SD card slot provides the capability for storing data collected from the external sensors.

The SE2614BT-EK1 evaluation kit also includes the latest version of BLE Software Development Kit (SDK) and ANT+ Alliance Wireless Remote Control Protocol (AWRCP) SDK. The BLE and ANT+ Alliance Wireless Remote Control Protocol SDKs provide the necessary software for developing applications with the evaluation kit.
