The SE80PWG-M3/I is a single-phase bridge rectifier with a fast recovery time. It provides high efficiency, small size, and low forward voltage drop with low losses for power rectification applications. It also offers an extended service cycle, with a maximum junction temperature of 150˚C. The SE80PWG-M3/I has a dual-coated paper substrate with an M3 terminal configuration.

Application Field

Working Principle

The SE80PWG-M3/I is a single-phase bridge rectifier, which consists of four diodes connected in a bridge configuration. When an alternating current input is applied, the bridge rectifier converts it into a direct current output. The overall forward voltage drop is minimized and a low loss is achieved. When a positive voltage is applied to the anode of the rectifier, the current will flow through the rectifier and the voltage drop across each diode will be the same. When the polarity of the input voltage is reversed, the diode connected to the anode will no longer conduct, while the other three diodes will conduct. This allows half-wave rectification, which is ideal for applications that require low losses.The SE80PWG-M3/I also features a fast recovery time, which is important for applications that require high-frequency operation. The fast recovery time ensures that the rectifier will not be “on” for too long, and thus helps to reduce losses due to heating. It also means that the rectifier can switch quickly between conducting and non-conducting states, allowing for quick switching of power.
