SEFX-6 Application Field and Working Principle

Terminal blocks are an integral part of system electrical connections, enabling efficient installation and termination of wires. Barrier blocks (also known as printed circuit barrier terminal blocks), play an especially important role due to its ability to split large-capacity circuits for convenient wiring, helping to reduce the complexity of wiring and testing. SEFX-6 series barrier strips are a widely used type of terminal blocks offering a wide range of features and functions.

Application Field

SEFX-6 barrier blocks have flexible application and are suitable for harsh industrial environments inherent to the assembly of machine tools, including aggressive environment, temperature, and vibration conditions. It is resistant to shocks, vibration, and other mechanical deformation. Also, its design conforms to UL 94V-2 flammability standard for plastic materials.

These barrier blocks have also become preferred choice for other applications which include self-service product machines, outdoor kiosks, industrial controllers, repair stands, terminal equipment and similar fields.

Working Principle

SEFX-6 series barrier blocks are composed of a barrier block terminal, main terminal, and fixing clips that keep the barrier block to its place. In general, a barrier block should be installed in terminal equipment, instruments of automation, LED display screens, counter meters and other related devices. Once installed, a terminal can be firmly connected with a terminal screw or wire by means of tightening wings or notches. Owing to the main terminal’s special forces, an external force given from the sides can maintain a stable pressure between the main and barrier terminals, which ensures the correctness and reliability of wiring.

Furthermore, barrier block terminals provide a terminal space for various interlocking devices or other switching products. In this way, the user can easily install 6mm control components, such as a CSP switch controller, terminal block, relay, etc., in order to make them into a greater whole.
