SESX-20

SESX-20 is a type of terminal blocks from Schneider Electric. It belongs to the group of barrier blocks and allows for fast and cost-effective connection of screw terminals and plenty of cables for a perfect electrical insulation.

The Schneider Electric SESX-20 Barrier Blocks consist of two contours. The lower part had terminal connections and the upper part are special flat ribs that prevent contact of the lower pair of contacts.

SESX-20 Barrier Blocks are available in different versions which are passive, active and DIN. Passive SESX-20 Barrier Blocks have connections for 0.2…2.5 mm2 cables with cross-sections from 1.5 to 140 mm2. Active terminals have many extra features, such as green/red LED indicators, additional pins for modular terminal blocks, and a range of integrated memories & electronic devices.

The working principle of the SESX-20 terminal blocks is relatively simple. On one side, the screw terminal provides the connection between the conductor and the terminal block, while the other side of the terminal has a ribbed insulator arranged in a cross-section configuration which prevents the conductor from crossing the lower contacts.
