SF11-T Bridge Rectifier Application Fields

The SF11-T Bridge Rectifier is used primarily in consumer electronics applications such as telecommunication systems and automotive electronics. SF11-T Bridge Rectifier Working Principle

The SF11-T utilizes a four-terminal or bridge configuration to advantageously shape the rectified wave forms obtained from a single phase alternating current sine wave source. This bridge configuration isolates the neighboring AC phases and eliminates cross-currents in the device. The Bridge Rectifier\'s operation includes a two pole switch with two diodes that are connected to form a half-wave rectifier. The two diodes are alternately connected to the AC input voltage so that when the switch is closed one of the diodes is forward-biased and the other is reverse-biased. This allows current to flow through the forward-biased diode but not through the reverse-biased diode. The half-wave rectifications are repeated until the duration of the input voltage is complete.

The other part of the SF11-T Bridge Rectifier is the output stage, which is a full-wave rectifier. It takes the rectified output waves from the input stage and combines them using four diodes in a bridge arrangement. The output from the bridge rectifier is taken from the positive or negative output terminal and is filtered. This will provide a DC output. The performance of the SF11-T Bridge Rectifier is determined by the following parameters: Forward voltage drop, current rating, thermal resistance and reverse leakage current.
