The active PFC switch is controlled by the SG6980SZ’s internal analogue PFC controller. The controller detects the value of the input current and the PFC network gives the switching on/off signal to the active switch according to this value. The synchronous rectifier rectifies the voltage and provides the power for the output stages. The output capacitor filters and stabilizes the voltage. The OCP circuit monitors the output current and gives the signal for over current protection. The OVP circuit monitors the output voltage and gives the signal for over voltage protection.
