RF amplifiers are used to increase the power of a signal or an RF signal in order to improve its transmission strength, range and efficiency. The SGA-2386 is a commercially available high frequency amplifying chip designed for use in various RF-amplifying applications.

The SGA-2386 is based on a gallium arsenide trans-impedance amplifier design with an integrated amplifier-to-TIA module. This module allows the amplifier to provide up to 4mW of output power with a high gain of 25dB from 0.1MHz to 2GHz. The amplifier features a low noise figure of 2.0dB at its highest frequency range of 2GHz and generally shows good linearity across the range.

The amplifier is most commonly used in mobile communication systems such as cellular phones, Wi-Fi radios, and UHF radio systems. It is well-suited for amplifying low power signals and is used in applications requiring low power consumption and size. The amplifier also has the ability to provide a high signal-to-noise ratio, wide dynamic range, and excellent distortion performance.
