The Gas Discharge Tube Arresters (GDT), more formally known as metal oxide varistors (MOVs), are widely used to protect electrical circuits from transient overvoltages. The SH400 series of GDTs is designed to protect the input power lines of a variety of voltage-sensitive equipment from transient overvoltages.

The SH400 GDT is a rugged, zinc oxide-based, non-linear voltage clamping device. It has been developed to protect electrical circuits from temporary voltage surges, such as those caused by lightning, power cross, or utility switching. With its low-profile design, the SH400 is suitable for use in a variety of applications, both indoors and outdoors.
