The SI4749-C10-AMR also supports an Enhanced Emission Cancel (EEC) function that helps to reduce interference caused by unwanted emissions. The EEC algorithm uses a combination of notch filters with a variable bandwidth to compensate for frequency and time-domain parts of the unwanted interference. The notch filters reject unwanted emissions in the frequency domain while the variable bandwidth reduces the amplitude of unwanted emissions in the time domain. The EEC algorithm helps to reduce the noise floor of the receiver thus keeping it at an acceptable level for many applications.
