The SI4763-A10GM-R is an integrated digital audio broadcast receiver, designed to receive FM, AM and SSB broadcasts in any environment. Its integrated circuit IC is based on a low-distortion, discrete-time, variable supply design, and is ideal for applications such as automotive receivers, portable radios, and home radios. In addition, it is designed for use in medium-to-long range receivers, making it ideal for applications such as AM/FM radio and FM modulation reception.

The design of the SI4763-A10GMR is focused on achieving very low levels of noise, distortion, and power consumption. It includes low noise and low current devices, such as high-efficiency LNA stage, pre- and post-filters, demodulators, VCO, PLL, and other related components. To minimize current consumption, a power management unit is also included. The receiver can be powered by any external regulated 5V DC supply.

The SI4763-A10GMR provides excellent performance in the FM and AM/IBOC bands. It can operate from 150 kHz to 250 MHz and features adjustable audio pre-emphasis up to 15kHz and adjustable gain to achieve optimal signal-to-noise ratio. The device also provides robust signal processing capabilities, such as extreme channel interference rejection, noise canceling, EQ, and multiple selectable antenna inputs.

The RF Receivers are powered on the SI4763-A10GMR by a built-in power management system as well as external power. For amplification, a low-noise amplifier (LNA) is implemented. The LNA is optimized for highest gain in its class with the lowest noise figure. The combination of the built-in power management system and the low noise amplifier contribute to an excellent overall performance of the receiver.

In addition, the integrated circuit contains a programmable baseband filter and a narrowband phase locked loop to separate in-band and out-of-band signals. The output of this fine-tuning process is fed to a set of demodulators, which extract the audio encoded in the radio signal. The output of the demodulators can be routed directly to a digital-to-analog converter (DAC) for further processing. The DAC is designed for stereo processing, allowing stereo broadcasts to be decoded with ease. This system also provides selectable gain control, allowing broadcasters to adjust the receiver gain for optimal performance.

The SI4763-A10GMR is an effective tool for radio and broadcast receivers, allowing users to enjoy excellent reception and audio quality. With its low noise floor and low power consumption, the device is well-suited for both battery-operated and desktop applications. Its performance is further enhanced with a wide range of features and selectable gain control, and its small form factor makes it an ideal solution for embedded applications.
