The SI5326A-C-GM is a digital PLL synthesized clock generator, designed for applications where a low jitter clock signal is essential. It is designed to provide superior jitter performance, lower EMI, and excellent frequency stability across a wide temperature range.

The clock generator utilizes a fractional-N phase-locked loop (PLL) with an advanced loop filter. The advanced loop filter draws upon the proven circuit topologies used in the world’s leading RF and optical frequency synthesizers. The PLL is coupled with an ultra-low-noise voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) to generate a wide range of low-noise clock frequencies.

The SI5326A-C-GM can be used to generate ultra-low-jitter clock signals in a variety of frequency applications, ranging from low-frequency clocks to higher data rate clocks. It supports a wide operating frequency range, covering as high as 622 MHz, thus providing 16 speed grade options.

The SI5326A-C-GM offers a variety of features to ensure compatibility with most clock applications. This includes two configuration sets (TG and TS), selectable input frequencies down to 8 kHz, dual pin-selectable oscillator outputs (either single-ended or differential), two separate power supply states (application dependent), and a 3.3V supply voltage.

The SI5326A-C-GM provides a range of features designed to ensure superior clock signal quality and accuracy. These features include output broadcast frequencies synchronized to the input clock signal, a DC-coupled termination, an adjustable output frequency, and a dynamic signal detection feature.
