The SI5335A-B05532-GMR is a high performance, programmable, Any-Frequency RoHS-compliant Clock Generator. It is a monolithic 210MHz-to-1090MHz RoHS programmable clock generator, which provides 4 ultra low jitter Clock outputs, while sacrificing one input. This can be used in a variety of applications such as computers, networks, industrial, medical, automotive, pro audio and video, telecom, and other applications. The SI5335A-B05532-GMR also has an integrated phase-locked loop (PLL), which allows for programming of the Output Clock frequency and phase, eliminating the need for board level components.

The SI5335A-B05532-GMR works according to two main principles. The first is the PLL, which is responsible for taking a reference Clock, such as a crystal oscillator (XO) frequency and multiplying it by a specific integer to generate the desired output frequency and phase. The second is Dividers, which are used to divide the frequency of the reference Clock by a certain integer to generate a corresponding output frequency at the clock outputs. The output frequency and phase can be adjusted by changing the ratio between the reference Clock frequency and the programmed output frequency.

The SI5335A-B05532-GMR can be used in a variety of Clock/Timing applications. Examples of such applications include:

  • Wide input frequency range from 5.0 to 160MHz
  • Programmable spread spectrum modulation
