The SI5335B-B01870-GM from Silicon Laboratories is a highly integrated clock generator designed to provide a wide range of frequency outputs with exceptional spectral purity. The SI5335B-B01870-GM is a Clock Generators, PLLs, Frequency Synthesizers device, capable to generate precision clocks with multiple low jitter outputs, with very high accuracy and very low power consumption. It integrates a Phase-Locked Loop (PLL) with precision Multipliers and a wide range of frequency configurations, including clock outputs in the range of 1 kHz to 156.25 MHz. It also features an output frequency spread spectrum for EMI control, and supports spread spectrum frequencies with modules from 12 kHz to 2 MHz.

The device works on a phase-locked loop principle, which enables it to independently control the output frequency, phase and jitter. This is achieved by connecting a reference frequency to the PLL, and adjusting the control signals (or the phase-frequency detector) until the phase and frequency of the output match the reference.
