The SI5335B-B02096-GM from Silicon Labs is a low jitter, ultra-low phase noise Clock Generator with Any-Frequency-Any-Output™ capability.
The SI5335B-B02096-GM provides a simple, flexible solution for generating clock signals from 1 kHz up to 800 MHz. It comes factory-configured with a selection of output frequencies and input reference combinations, and supports spread spectrum clock output for the prevention of noise radiated from unintentional RFI (Radio Frequency Interference) sources which may be generated by the device. It also has programmable output skew, and is provided in a 48-lead 7 mm × 7 mm LFCSP package.

Working Principle
The SI5335B-B02096-GM is based on Silicon Labs’ Any-Frequency-Any-Output technology. The device features the company’s patented MultiSynth™ fractional synthesizer technology with 25kHz steps, allowing it to generate virtually any output frequency up to 800MHz with any jitter specification. With a 100kHz low frequency reference input, it can generate clock speeds up to 800million/Sec with precision accuracy. The device can also be operated as a low noise clock source (CLKI) to clean up a noisy signal coming in to the chip and then output it cleanly. This could be used in applications where you need to generate a low noise output clock without the need for an external low noise reference.
The SI5335B-B02096-GM includes on-chip programmable phase-locked loops (PLLs) with output dividers that can phase-lock to a reference signal and output a variety of adjustable multiples of that signal. It also includes an Any-Frequency-Any-Output™ clock generator, capable of generating totally flexible output frequencies at any jitter specification from the reference signal. The output frequencies and phase-locked loop parameters can be programmed via I2C or pin strapping.
The SI5335B-B02096-GM meets or exceeds industry standards for phase noise at each frequency in its range. Its jitter performance is exceptional for clock generator applications, as it can achieve extremely low phase noise and extremely low additive period jitter with a low noise reference input.
