The SI5338C-A-GM is an integrated clock generator that provides advantageous solutions for sophisticated clock trees used in software defined radio systems, military radio systems, and wireless communications. The SI5338C-A-GM architecture consists of several key components that work together to produce precise, low jitter clock signals. An integrated multiband oscillator and frequency synthesizer is housed on the chip that can generate multiple clock frequencies from a single oscillator. The chip also integrates an adjustable reference oscillator, clock divider, fractional-N divider, spread-spectrum modulator, buffered outputs for precise frequencies, and an adjustable power output for each divider. Additionally, the clock generator provides precise control of the clock frequency and power levels, plus a built-in clock monitor feature to detect any irregularities.
The SI5338C-A-GM also features a selectable power output that adjusts the power level of each clock output.
