The SI5346A-D-GM is a high-performance, low-cost, high-performance clock generator from Silicon Labs. It is designed for a wide variety of applications such as telecommunications, broadcast, instrumentation, and computing. In the Clock/Timing application field, the SI5346A-D-GM can be used for clock generators, PLLs, and frequency synthesizers. The SI5346A-D-GM is an advanced, low-cost clock generator that features high-performance features such as programmability and low jitter. The device has a wide operating temperature range of -20˚C to 70˚C, and it is rated to operate with a supply voltage of 3 to 3.6V. The SI5346A-D-GM works by receiving an input clock signal. This input clock signal is converted into a two-stage output clock signal by using a PLL circuit. The PLL circuit is configured by the programming and control registers of the SI5346A-D-GM. The device supports up to 6 different output configurations and up to 6 selectable output clocks with frequencies ranging from 1.2 MHz to 4.2 GHz.
