The Silicon Labs SI5347C-D-GM is an ultra-low phase noise clock generator featuring four fan-out buffers and a novel architecture that enables low-jitter operation while providing an unprecedented combination of low noise and wide tuning range. It operates over a wide frequency range of 10–500 MHz and supports a variety of frequency plan options. 

The SI5347C-D-GM integrated clock generator features four independent outputs, configurable as differential or single-ended outputs. The device’s wide tuning range, coupled with its integrated quad-output buffer, makes it ideal for applications needing high frequencies, such as telecommunications and wireless systems. In addition, the device has an extremely low phase noise performance, making it an excellent choice for clock synchronization applications in mobile devices, server and data storage systems, and network nodes. 

The SI5347C-D-GM clock generator uses a fractional-N PLL with an integrated multi-modulus prescaler to achieve its low noise performance. The PLL is driven by a temperature compensated oscillator (TCXO), and its output clock is then fed to the four-output buffer. The buffer’s outputs include programmable skew and phase delay, allowing for fine-tuning of the clock frequencies.
