The device supports low voltage differential signaling (LVDS) up to 150 MHz and provides additional output swing for pulse-width modulation (PWM) and pulse-density modulation (PDM) outputs. The device also features a fully integrated phase-locked loop (PLL), which provides excellent frequency stability, low phase noise, and low jitter, as well as an integrated low-noise, high PSRR regulator to ensure stable output performance in the most challenging of applications. The device has single supply operation from 1.8V to 4.9V, low power consumption of just 1.8 mW and only 120 μA in standby mode, making it suitable for battery-powered applications.

Working Principle

The SI5351A-B02075-GT works using a suite of synthesis-based-clock generation (SBCG) algorithms to generate and deliver precise and repeatable clock signals across multiple outputs. This allows it to produce extremely low jitter, low-noise clock signals. The SI5351A-B02075-GT consists of three independent multiphase PLLs, a reference clock divider and a programmable digital oscillator circuit, collectively called the SBCG block. The three PLLs generate three independent clocks. The reference clock divider divides it into multiple clock frequencies, and the programmable digital oscillator circuit takes the multiplied clock signal and produces the desired clock frequency.The PLLs are responsible for producing precisely timed, low-jitter, clock signals. The first PLL uses the reference clock frequency to generate frequencies for divide by 1,4,8 and 16, the second PLL generating frequencies for divide by 32,64,128, and 256, and the third PLL for divide by 512, we can adjust the PLL settings to get any frequency from 0-200MHz.External reference frequencies are used to achieve low jitter. The device can accept differential or single-ended input reference clocks as low as 10MHz. Other options include a programmable input frequency, a programmable output frequency, an optional output frequency selectable, and a crystal-controlled reference frequency input.Using the integrated SBCG block, the SI5351A-B02075-GT can generate up to eight clock outputs in different frequencies that have extremely low jitter and phase noise. The device can also generate multiple PLL frequencies, allowing the user to achieve higher synthesis accuracy and precision.
