Working Principle
The SI5355A-B01320-GMR utilizes a PLL frequency synthesis technique developedthrough multiple loop-phase lock loop (PLL) approach. The module comprises of a 24.8 to 1100MHz Voltage Controlled Oscillator (VCO) divided by a 5/6-bit input divider together with a 7-bit output divider. To ensure stability, a loop filter is included to prevent any sudden change in the output frequency.
These multiple loops allows a wide tuning range and also supports a wide range of operation including fast lock speed and excellent phase noise performance. Additionally, the device provides a wide filter bandwidth and supports three-phase clock outputs from one clock input.
