Digital Isolators are used to provide galvanic isolation between two circuits which are at different potential levels. SI8380P-IUR is a digital isolator used in a variety of applications, such as micro-processor/PC system with power supply circuits, analog signals, digital signals, interface RS-232, bus system, LCD/DLCD panel/display and audio cards. This product provides enhanced protection from voltage spikes, overcurrents and other dangerous electrical conditions.

The SI8380P-IUR digital isolator is a unidirectional digital isolator which provides isolation up to 2000 Vac and 100 Vdc. It is constructed using 12 bi-directional insulated gate bipolar transistors (IGBTs) and 4 resistors to provide electrical isolation between two circuits. The product is housed in a small package, with a low power requirement, making it ideal for high-density mounting and installations.

The working principle of the SI8380P-IUR digital isolator is based on the concept of electrical isolation.
