Inrush Current Limiters (ICLs) are an important type of protection component in electrical and electronic circuits. They limit the current inrush at the start-up of the device, which ensures the device\'s safe operation. The SL18 30006 is one of these ICLs, which has many applications and works in accordance with a certain principle.

Once the current reaches a safe level, the temperature of the plate cools and it returns to its original shape, allowing the contacts to move back together and complete the circuit. This allows the current to continue at a safe level of operation. The current limit of this device can be adjusted by changing the size of the bi-metallic plate and the tension between its contacts.
