The SLVU2.8.TCT devices are Low Capacitance TVS Diode Array (SPA®) optimized to protect high-speed data lines from ESD and other transient voltage threats. This device offers excellent clamping capability at very low capacitance. The SLVU2.8.TCT devices are available with a maximum operating voltage of 15V and have a forward bias voltage of 4V.

The SLVU2.8.TCT is designed for maximum performance in ESD, EFT, and other transient protection applications. The devices are optimized for low capacitance, low clamping voltage, and fast response time while offering superior ESD protection. The devices are ideal for applications such as data lines and power supplies in handheld devices, computers, and consumer electronics. This device is designed to protect from ESD and EFT events up to 15KV in accordance with the IEC 61000-4-2 international standard.

The working principle of the SLVU2.8.TCT devices is based on the principle of avalanche breakdown in a PN junction. When the conductors in an electrical circuit are subjected to high transient voltage, the diode is switched on by the high potential. When a diode switches on, the avalanche breakdown phenomenon occurs within the PN junction, causing a sharp increase in current.
