Triode voltage suppressors (TVS) diodes are components used in electronics, especially in digital circuitry, to protect against surges. TVS are designed to shunt high levels of transient voltage away from sensitive components and direct them to ground. They are used to protect against overvoltage, such as electrostatic discharges (ESD), inductive switch transient, and load or line dependent transients.
