.The SN64BCT126ADR is a monolithic integrated circuit in the logic family of buffers, drivers, receivers and transceivers. It has been designed to drive mixed mode and single-ended bus systems. The device combines two series-ENABILING and current limiting resistor (single-ended inputs) with a latch and a differential ( dual single-ended or mixed mode inputs) driver on the same chip and is pin-to-pin compatible with the industry standard TIA/EIA-422-B and EIA-423 i/o standards.It supports bi-directional Data flow, along with ENABILING and clock. The SN64BCT126ADR has two differential buses, two ENABILING inputs, two clock data outputs and two driver outputs all integrated into a single, low cost high speed chip.
The SN64BCT126ADR\'s application field encompasses many different applications, from issuing commands and data transfer over the bus system, to ENABILING peripheral devices. The applications of the SN64BCT126ADR range from industrial automation and applications using Smart Cards, to digital mobile radio and data transmission systems, to automobiles. It is also suitable for industrial and commercial applications such as remote control systems, data acquisition systems, POS terminals, various communication systems and instrumentation systems.
The SN64BCT126ADR\'s working principle is based on the principle of bi-directional bus-level shifter which provides the shift between two different logic levels. It has two differential buses (RIN and RN) with a common ground, two EN resistance inputs distinct from the RIN, two data clock outputs, and two driver outputs. When an EN close is present, the driver outputs will take on a logic level corresponding to the differential input sensed on the two buses. In the absence of an EN close, the driver outputs will be held LOW. The signal is then transmitted over the buses and then amplified by differential amplifiers and level shifters.
The SN64BCT126ADR\'s ENABILING capabilities provide a means of controlling the signal transmission and the flow of power on the buses. It has two independent ENABILING inputs which are connected to the buses, when a logical "1" signal is applied to an ENABILING input, the device will allow the signal transmission of data over the bus. If the input logic is LOW, then the device will stop the signal transmission. Thus, it can be used as a means of switching the power on and off on the buses.
In addition, the SN64BCT126ADR offers two outputs for data clock signals, which are used to synchronize the data transmission on the buses. The outputs can be ENABLED or DISABLED independently, providing a means of adjusting the clock data duration. This ensures that data are transmitted in the correct timing and can be used to protect the connected devices from potentially damaging high speed signals.
