SN65C3223EPW is an ideal quad-channel low power and low-profile transceiver widely used in the application-field of applications and automotive interfaces. This device offers a full-duplex, connect-and-play based FET data frame, with an extended power range for communication links incorporating USB, CANbus, and RS-232, CAN2.0, etc. and supports up to 8 Mbps data transmission rate. It is designed and fabricated using small size packages maximizing circuit integration and signal integrity.
The receiver portion of the SN65C3223EPW contains 4 channels, 4 receivers, and a fail-safe signal conditioning receiver that runs at 3.3V/1.8V. The quad receivers use a low threshold voltage for logic-high outputs and can detect input signals that are both dynamic and static. The data signal receiver is connected to the SN65C3223EPW’s THV and USIC expandable interfaces. The USIC-compliant transceiver facilitates the replacement of the SIP, Toggler, and FIP transceivers in existing systems.
The SFK1 options enable the SN65C3223EPW for full- or half-duplex with data frame lock reception. The SFK1 supports an extended power range and also supports a CAN2.0 data frame lock function. This function autonomously adjusts the baud rate, allowing it to be used in higher-speed networks while maintaining signal integrity. In addition, the SFK1 supports bi-directional, half-duplex operation, so it is fully compatible with existing RS-232 networks.
The SN65C3223EPW also incorporates a fault-masking circuit. Furthermore, the device provides 2x Clock edge synchronization (CES) on its THV and USIC interfaces, allowing for cascade connections with other devices in harsh application environments.
