The SN65C3223PWR transceiver effectively combines a low-power, low-voltage quasi-differential line driver with a low-power, low-voltage differential line receiver into one device. It is convenient for microcontrollers to access multiple communications protocols. The SN65C3223PWR can replace several discrete components, reducing power consumption and system space, simplifying the design process and increasing reliability. The SN65C3223PWR line driver is designed to drive balanced transmission lines mechanically configured as twisted-pair cables. It operates with 3 V to 5.5 V supplies and is capable of running over a wide range of common-mode and differential voltages.

The SN65C3223PWR receiver is a high-speed differential line receiver that converts TTL or CMOS-level differential signals into single-ended TTL or CMOS signals. It is designed to be used in a wide variety of bus-oriented systems and provides a TTL-level receiver output capable of driving 15 LS loads. The SN65C3223PWR receiver is designed to directly interface with a differential line connected to the bus, eliminating the need for the TTL level-shifting circuitry that is usually required.
