SN65LVDS9637DGK is a low voltage differential signaling (LVDS) driver and receiver pair designed for high speed digital communication applications. It is designed for use with a nominal transmission rate of about 8.5 Gb/in (bits per linear inch) in applications that require high speed and low power. This device is a low-power, low-voltage, high-speed, differential signaling solution that provides a cost effective way to transmit data across short distances. By utilizing differential signaling, the channel is immune to common mode noise, resulting in improved signal integrity and longer cables.

The SN65LVDS9637DGK transmitter consists of four high speed, low-power differential pairs. The main driver section consists of two input resistors, a differential probe and two outputs. The output drive strength of the transmitter can be programmed by the user via an external pull up or pull down bus. The receiver consists of four high speed, low-power differential pair receivers. The main receiver section consists of two output buffers, two power switches and two outputs.

It also provides superior signal integrity characteristics, including wide common mode range, low noise, low jitter, and low propagation delay. The SN65LVDS9637DGK is designed with an on-chip termination that eliminates the need for external termination components. In addition, the device has an adjustable gain control feature, which allows the user to optimize the transmitter/receiver performance and power consumption. This device is available in several industrial grade packages and is RoHS compliant.

The working principle of the SN65LVDS9637DGK involves the transmission of a differential signal through the LVDS receivers and drivers. The differential signal is sent (by the driver) and received (by the receiver) across two separate full duplex channels.
