The SN74AHC74N comes in two versions, the SN74AHC74N-1 (Dual D-Type Flip-Flop with Clear/Reset) and the SN74AHC74N-2 (Dual D-Type with Set/Reset). The difference between the two versions is that the SN74AHC74N-1 has one clear/reset input and one clock input, while the SN74AHC74N-2 has one set/reset input and one clock input.
The SN74AHC74N is used for applications that require logic-level translation between devices running different logic standards (e.g. 3.3V/5V logic TTL/CMOS).
