The SN74ALS29863NT chip is a high-speed 3V to 5.5V powered logic buffer and driver. Designed with an advanced CMOS process, the chip features high drive capabilities, low power dissipation, and high switching speeds while providing input-to-output isolation. The chip can operate at a wide range of temperatures and offers low-voltage noise and high noise immunity, making it suitable for use in a variety of consumer, communication, and industrial applications.An array of devices is available that provides an interface between TTL and/or LVTTL logic levels and MOS, CMOS, and CPU logic levels. The devices have an output stage with active pull-up and pull-down transistors, which provides 50Ω of output impedance, supporting a maximum fan-out of 10 active loads. The dual two-input gates feature push-pull type outputs and enable low active power dissipation, fast switching times, and rail-to-rail outputs, making them ideal for high speed data transfer applications.At the heart of the SN74ALS29863NT is a high-speed CMOS design. It contains an array of two bipolar transistors and several resistors for buffering, driving, and receiving logic levels. An array of drivers, buffers, buffers/drivers, tri-state buffers/drivers, receivers, transceivers, and open-drain transceivers are available in a variety of standard logic packages. The SN74ALS29863NT devices can drive TTL and/or LVTTL logic at input voltages down to 1.35V and up to 5.5V, providing a VOH of 3V and a VIL of 0.3V. Low power consumption is achieved through the use of active pull-up and pull-down transistors as well as low-voltage noise immunity. The devices are available in both open-drain and totem-pole configurations, making them suitable for both single-ended and split-rail applications.The SN74ALS29863NT offers a variety of useful features for high-speed data transfer applications. These include non-inverting and inverting buffering, individual output enable (OE) inputs, two selectable Schmitt triggers for hysteresis and fan-out of up to 10 active loads.When the SN74ALS29863NT is used as a differential buffer, low-voltage RS-485 logic levels are allowed on the output. This allows multiple-transmit and receive operations, enabling the device to be used in synchronous systems, such as TV monitors, for transmission of data among several units.Overall, the SN74ALS29863NT is an ideal device for a variety of buffering, driving, receiving, and transceiving applications in the consumer, communication, and industrial markets. It is designed for use in low-voltage and high-speed data transfer applications and provides excellent input-to-output isolation, low power consumption, a wide range of temperature support, and high noise immunity.
