The SN74ALS561ADWE4 is a general purpose and high-performance synchronous 4-bit binary up and down counter. Specifically, this integrated circuit offers two asynchronous independent up/down count sources: start/stop push button and a pulse on the input pin. It also includes a common RESET pin for both the counting modules. All of these count sources can be connected directly to the inputs of the device without any additional components.
