The SN74ALS561ADWE4 is a general purpose and high-performance synchronous 4-bit binary up and down counter. Specifically, this integrated circuit offers two asynchronous independent up/down count sources: start/stop push button and a pulse on the input pin. It also includes a common RESET pin for both the counting modules. All of these count sources can be connected directly to the inputs of the device without any additional components. Furthermore, the product is capable of directly performing up/down counting applications without needing other logic components.
