Logic - Latches are generally considered a type of digital logic gate which is set in a state, usually by a local transition, or a sequence of transitions, of its inputs that results in the output being equal to that of the initial state. An example of this type of digital gate is the SN74ALS667NSRG4. This integrated circuit is designed to latch input signals and provides latched output signals. It is also designed to provide digital levels from either a TTL or a CMOS input.
