Working Principle of SN74AS08N

The gate therefore cannot conduct current between the source and the body during this condition.Whenever a particular input is applied to the gate, the Schottky diode begins to conduct electricity between the 2nd terminal of the gate and the source, thus allowing a current to be conducted between these two points. This condition is known as the “turn-on” condition. Whenever the Schottky diode connections inside the gate switch on, the output will become a logic “1”, signifying the truth of that particular logic combination. If the Schottky diode connections switch off, the output will become a logic “0”, signifying a false condition.The SN74AS08N IC is also designed to enable power saving by using Schottky diodes as the current-driving components inside the gate. The Schottky diodes only draw current when a logic transition is taking place, thus reducing power consumption.
